Thermosetting can be explained as the competency in moulding high temperature materials to replace critical Aluminium and Steel components. These plastic materials are popularly made using formaldehyde as the primary raw material, which after moulding and softening is set to a hard mass in which its molecules are fixed. The process of moulding takes place while these plastics form many cross-linked polymer chains in their substance.

Since the engine of a vehicle can get overheated easily (owing to the constant electrical currents’ activity), every engine has a water pump which facilitates the exchange of a coolant between the engine and the radiator. Such water pump prevents the engine from overheating by generating a cooling effect from the fast movement of blades through the water inside the pump.

Plastic injection moulding is the most popular process used in developing plastic parts for the automotive industries. Injection moulding is now one of the most favoured ways when it comes to moulding plastic. Injection Moulding can be defined as a process wherein molten plastic is forced into a mould in order to eject the plastic part from the mould & once the plastic has cooled down.

Ball holders, commonly known as seat guide rails were traditionally made of metal however lately, the advancements in technology have made it possible to manufacture ball holders in plastic. Plastic ball holders have an edge over metal ones owing to their reduced weight and lesser cost. Plastic ball holders also do not stand a chance of quick depreciation as plastics are resistant to rust.
Plastic ball holders are made on multi-cavity injection moulding tools with very precise tolerances. After the moulding process, they move to automatic ball feeder, with robots. Once the balls are inserted into the cage, a camera controlled inspection is carried out to check various parameters like the ball’s diameter, existence of all the balls at the right place, over moulding, etc.

A headrest guide is an automotive safety feature, which is integrated into the top of each seat to control the upward & downward movement of the adult occupant's head. Lately, the head rest guide has become mandatory to prevent serious head injury of the passenger.
We, at HONASCO manufacture headrest guides on a fully automatic assembly machine with integrated ‘Poka Yoke’ checkpoints based on customer design, which cater to the 3 series models by BMW, worldwide.
To measure torque & performance, an automated Functional Testing must be carried out on an assembly machine. Honasco uses such a ‘Poka Yoke’ technique to ensure safety and other critical components are correctly identified and assembled in the headrest guides.

Tolerance Adjuster is a mechanism designed to bridge tolerances automatically. The tolerance clip is positioned between the two components that are to be connected. The components are aligned in axial direction to the screw connection.
Tolerance Adjuster is clipped to one of the components. A connecting bolt is inserted into the hole of the first component and through the Tolerance Adjuster tolerance clip to the thread of the second component.
The Tolerance Adjuster spring clip generates friction engagement between the connecting bolt and Tolerance Adjuster, extending the tolerance clip, thus reducing the space between the two components until the surfaces meet. Any tolerances are therefore completely eliminated. The connecting bolt is then tightened with no component deformation.
Tolerance Adjuster can only be extended as far as the existing distance between the two components or as far as its maximum extension length. The system has been designed to prevent the components from separating, so allowing a production process with oscillating conveyor systems.
The size and the adjust range of the Tolerance Adjuster tolerance clip can be designed to correspond to customer requirements.
Tolerance Adjuster simplifies the production process thus saving time and costs.
